Beginning, students with a balance greater than a negative $7.00 will receive an alternate meal. The alternate meal consists of a cold cheese sandwich, a piece of fruit and/or vegetable and an 8 oz fat free milk. If your student's account balance is not brought current after 5 days, you will need to make other arrangements for meal service for your student.
Negative and low balance notices have been sent out to those specific parents in the past several days/weeks. All parents may want to review their students' cafeteria account balances at this time. An email message and a text message was sent to ALL parents on Friday, Feb. 23 as a reminder to all parents to check and monitor their students' cafeteria balances.
Free and Reduced Meal Applications are available in both English and Spanish at Thrall ISD Food Service website and can be submitted throughout the year as your situation changes.
