Howdy Friends,

Welcome to the 2016-17 school year. It will be a GREAT one!

I am super excited to begin my 16th year of teaching, including by 2nd year in Thrall. I truly believe that I am where Iā€™m supposed to be, and I am passionately committed to each and every child in my care.

Here is a little background about me:

  1. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education degree from Texas State.
  2. My husband, Tony, and I live in Manor. We will celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary this year. Rebel, our dog, keeps us on our toes.
  3. Our son, Ethan, is a graduate of Universal Technical Institute and is currently a Jaguar (the car) technician in Houston.
  4. Our daughter, Anna, is a junior business major at Texas A&M University. (WHOOP!)
  5. I absolutely love the outdoors!  Most of my free time is spent camping, hiking, and wildlife/bird watching. I also enjoy hunting and fishing.

Our class will be a safe place for your child to learn and grow. While academics are of the utmost importance, my overall goal is to foster independence, responsibility, respect for self and others, and real-life problem solving skills. Students will have many opportunities, including the opportunity to make mistakes - - - and to learn from them.

Please know that you, the families of my incredible students, are a vital part of our classroom community.  Feel free to contact me any time with questions, comments, or concerns.
