Hello and Welcome to Mrs. Morris' First Grade Class.
I am delighted to be part of the Thrall Elementary Team! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your child’s teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Texas in middle school. When I was in high school I lived in Round Rock and attended Stony Point High School. Then I got married and moved to Taylor, Texas. We recently built a house in Thrall and this is where I reside now and am raising my family. I have two daughters and a son; Madison, Lyla, and Tanner. I attended Texas State University in Round Rock for my undergraduate… GO BOBCATS! After my undergrad I pursued my Masters in Elementary Education at Texas State as well and finished in December of 2013. I am certified to teach early childhood education to sixth grade ESL in the state of Texas. My previous teaching experience is in Pre-K through second grade.
I am so excited to get to know each and every one of you! I feel honored to have your child in my classroom. It is my strong belief that every child can be successful and I feel it is my responsibility to ensure that it happens. Each child is an individual and I will not lose sight of that. I enjoy getting to know and love each of my students. I work hard to establish a safe, supportive, and exciting environment that allows my students to grow, learn, and succeed!
